Volunteer Code of Conduct

Purpose

This code describes the standards expected of volunteers representing Ensign Outreach Foundation.

Respect and professionalism

Volunteers should treat beneficiaries, staff, partners, other volunteers, and community members with respect and avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or exploitation.

Safety and safeguarding

Volunteers must follow safety instructions, safeguarding requirements, program boundaries, and lawful directions from designated coordinators.

Confidentiality

Non-public personal, applicant, donor, beneficiary, operational, or security information learned through service should not be disclosed without authorization.

Conflicts and personal benefit

Volunteers should disclose meaningful conflicts of interest and must not misuse their role, foundation property, beneficiary relationships, or confidential information for improper personal benefit.

Communications and media

Photos, public statements, social-media posts, and representations made on behalf of the foundation should follow applicable communication, consent, privacy, and safeguarding requirements.

Concerns and accountability

Violations may result in coaching, reassignment, suspension, or removal from volunteer activities, depending on the circumstances.
